Sarah Smith

Implementation Analyst

A native of Nashville, Sarah joined Avintus in 2016 and currently serves as a plan implementation analyst.

Prior to Avintus, she served 10 years as a customer service specialist and received her MBA from Lipscomb University with a focus on Nonprofit leadership and Global Management in China and Hong Kong. In addition to being an active community volunteer, she is founder and director of a startup nonprofit and social entrepreneurship focused on poverty relief.

Sarah received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Horticulture from Mississippi State University with a focus on Marketing and Retail Management. A trained floral designer, Sarah has traveled extensively training young leaders in floriculture with work featured in the Nashville Lawn & Garden Show, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, ASCAP Country Music Awards, Tournament of Roses Parade, Southern Living, and People magazine.

Outside of retirement planning, she is a passionate artist of spoken word, music, sewing, jewelry, printmaking, and dance. She is trained in hula hoop, aerial circus, fire staff spinning, and hip hop and can be found at music and art events across the country.
